Kate Spade Saturday’s skyrocketing rise to prominence will only continue with its fun, fresh Resort 2014 collection. The offering is filled with simple, clean pieces that have a sense of whimsy about them, thanks in large part to their color palette (lots of muted solid colors, plus some iridescent fabrics, with spirited prints mixed in) and the way they’re put together in the lookbook.
The styling alternatively combines a fine-gauge gray turtleneck with a strapless cocktail dress in a multicolored print, or a white-and-blue printed dress with a sleeveless vest. There’s also some double-sweater action – what could be cozier than putting a gray cardigan over a mint-green crewneck? – that speaks directly to the brand’s ethos. After all, shouldn’t every day be Saturday?
